Paul Plooij joins Management Team DUPI Group – Ad Boekraad new Director Property and Casualty

Per 1 August Paul Plooij is appointed as Director Risk, Compliance & IT of DUPI Group and chairman of the DUPI Group Risk Committee, which operates as part of DUPI Group’s second line of defence.
Since the turnaround of DUPI in 2014, we have become a diversified specialty insurer with over EUR 100 million premium with the ambition of further growth, responding thoughtfully and creatively to find the best outcomes for our brokers and clients through carefully-tailored solutions.
Risk Management is mandated to ensure that DUPI Group has the necessary expertise, frameworks and infrastructure to support good risk-taking. In addition, it ensures adherence to applicable frameworks and performs independent assurance activities.
As Director Risk, Compliance & IT Paul will be a member of the DUPI Group Management Team, consisting of:

- Michiel Vervliet, Director Carrier Management, Claims & Legal

Paul will report to Stijn.
Per 1 August 2020 Ad Boekraad (55) joins DUPI Underwriting Agencies as Underwriting Director Property and Casualty.
For almost 15 years as Managing Director Ad was the driving force behind RSA Netherlands, building the branch from mostly multinational property to a Dutch market leading insurer with a broad cross-class product offering. Ad’s insurance career started in 1988 as trainee at Aon Nederland (Hudig-Langeveldt) and since then included various underwriting and management roles at Royal Global, including integration management at the period of the Royal Insurance and Sun Alliance merger.
As Underwriting Director Property and Casualty Ad will be responsible for the further development of these Business Units, the coaching of the underwriting teams and the financial and technical results of these portfolios.
With the arrival of Ad, Richard Oets returns to his role as Corporate Consultant to the DUPI Group management team. Over the last one and a half years Richard successfully launched DUPI Property Insurance, building a close team of excellent Underwriters, Claims Handlers and Support colleagues, realizing a book of EUR 10 million premium, and laying the foundations for further profitable growth.
Ad will report to Anton Cornel.
Over the coming months, Ad, Paul and Richard will work closely together in the transfer of responsibilities.
