SMABTP and DUPI Group set up new operation in Germany
SMABTP and DUPI Group set up new operation in Germany with experienced insurance professional Oliver Froeschen as Managing Director of SMABTP Germany GmbH.
SMABTP Group, a major mutual construction insurer, has announced that it has opened a branch in Cologne, Germany, on 1 July 2023. The Cologne office is managed commercially and operationally by DUPI, a leading Managing General Agent. DUPI is active in four European countries and last March, SMABTP acquired a majority stake in the company. The new office in Cologne operates under the name SMABTP Germany GmbH. This new location makes it possible to offer comprehensive insurance solutions specially designed for the construction insurance market in Germany.
Managing director Oliver Fröschen is an experienced insurance professional with solid expertise in managing complex insurance risks and building a pan-European network. In the upcoming months he will put together a team responsible for underwriting and managing insurance contracts and claims. Clients will benefit from tailor-made insurance products and services to cover construction and engineering risks, and progressively transport, marine, energy and casualty insurance.
