Niek Vonk strengthens DUPI as Associate Director CAR/Engineering
Rotterdam, 21 January 2025 – DUPI Underwriting Agencies is pleased to announce the appointment of Niek Vonk as Associate Director CAR/Engineering, effective 1 April 2025. With nearly 36 years of experience in the insurance industry and an outstanding track record at leading companies such as Allianz and Nationale-Nederlanden, Niek brings a wealth of practical knowledge and expertise to the team.
Proven track record in engineering and insurance
Over the past 18 years at Allianz, Niek held various roles, including Specialist Engineering, Director of the Marine & Engineering Division, and Underwriting Manager for Commercial Non-Motor. Prior to that, he worked for 18 years at Nationale-Nederlanden in several managerial positions in claims expertise and risk control.
Niek’s career began after his graduation in Architectural Engineering from HTS in 1983, where he started on construction sites as a work planner and project leader. He later established a business office at a small contractor. This unique combination of hands-on technical experience and deep insurance expertise makes Niek a cornerstone in the ongoing development of DUPI’s CAR/Engineering team.
