Rik van den Bosch will succeed Jaap Gispen as Underwriting Director Marine at DUPI Underwriting Agencies
Rotterdam, 11 december 2025 – Jaap Gispen will retire on 1 January 2026 and hand over the leadership of Marine Underwriting to Rik van den Bosch. While Jaap prepares for a new life in Portugal, Rik will continue the tradition of market knowledge and commitment that our clients have come to rely on.
Under Rik’s leadership, DUPI Marine will continue to work with a strong, experienced core team: Annemieke Boon (Lead Underwriter Marine Cargo), Peter Boekhoud (Lead Underwriter Marine Hull) and Philip van den Nieuwenhof (Head of P&I and Charterers Liability).

Jaap leaves behind not only a strong contribution during his five years at DUPI, but above all a legacy from a long and influential career in the marine insurance market. He has been known in the industry for decades for his sharp mind, his calmness and his humour. His famous saying, “it’s only money, and we had a laugh,” says it all: always put things into perspective, always remain human and never forget that working together can also be fun.
